The beer lover on your list was really good this year, but what do you get him or her? Luckily we have some ideas for you!
Beer for Christmas!
Beer Mugs and Glassware
For starters, your special beer drinker needs something special to put their beer in. There is a wide variety of mugs and glasses for beer , but nothing says “COOL!!” like a nice German stein. The number of different steins available almost equals the number of different beer styles! You can find steins for any theme.
One great idea is a mässkrug from Oktoberfest . You can still order the official stein or other official glassware from Oktoberfest 2007, the largest party on the planet. These stone mugs will also keep your beer cooler longer than a glass mug can.
There are places that will personalize your stein . You can have steins engraved, or printed with a special message. Some places will even print your own logo onto the stein. Think of how surprised they will be finding a stein with their name literally on the mug when they open their present!
Beer Movies
Movies are also a popular gift. We collected a list of the best beer movies available . The best beer movie available is Strange Brew, but if they have that movie already, we have more ideas. Here’s a sampling of our top list of movies:
There is no end to the number of great beer books. Ultimate Beer by the late Michael Jackson is an excellent beer resource. Books like these are not only interesting in their own right, but they also are a good resource for finding new beers to try. If the person on your list is interested in learning to make their own beer, you can’t beat How to Brew , by John Palmer. This book takes you through the basics of brewing and helps the reader rapidly become an expert.
There are several good magazines you could add to their stocking. “All About Beer ” delivers unique stories about beer 6 times a year. “Brew Your Own ” or “Zymurgy ” are great resources for learning to make beer. Many of the recipes that we make come from “Brew Your Own” magazine.
Bottle openers or even a special bottle of beer also make great stocking stuffers. A quick trip to any liquor store with a large selection of specialty beers will help you add that something special to their stocking!
Other Beer Gift Ideas
Another gift idea can be for their bar. Fun signs are a great way to dress up any home bar. Or maybe they need a way to serve their beer. A kegerator would make any beer lover say “WOW!” on Christmas day. Kegerators usually start around $400. If you are looking for something a bit smaller, there are other fun ways to serve beer too. Target sells a cool mini-tap for beer. This beer dispenser can hold the Heineken mini-keg or other small kegs that you would find at the liquor store.
Gag gifts, like a very ugly tie, might be good for dad. You can also find beer goggles, beer hat holders, or other fun presents!
Hopefully we gave you a few good ideas for this holiday season!
