Starting April 24th, Guinness will be offering a new brew!
Guinness is celebrating their 250th anniversary by creating a new beer. The new beer will be fizzier and maltier than previous beers. I assume this means they are just using regular carbonation instead of their iconic nitrogen beer gas mix. The beer will have triple the hops of the regular Guinness and slightly more alcohol.

The beer will be available for six months and then it's gone.
What's weird about this beer is it's good enough for the world to drink, but not Ireland. The new beer will not be available in Ireland. It will be available in the United States April 24th, and in Australia and Singapore at a later date.
I found references to this new beer on MSNBC. MSNBC claims the beer uses two types of malts, "ale and stout". Apparently they do not have anyone who knows beer on staff, but it did give me a good laugh.
Ale and Stout are types of malt?!? WTF?! (Source: MSNBC) Related Articles |
