Michael Jackson, a world leading beer critic for more than 30 years, died Thursday of a heart attack.  He was 65.  His body was discovered by his house cleaner at his home in London.  Michael Jackson was suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Jackson wrote many books on beer, such as "The Great Beers of Belgium" and "World Guide to Beer".  Jackson helped create a new interest in beer by pairing food to beer, much the way wine is paired to food.  His work also helped kick start the microbrewery movement in the United States.  His TV documentary series, "The Beer Hunter" was filmed around the world and shown in 15 countries.
