Britney Spears and Paris Hilton take note, while binge drinking in England, "wear nice pants and wax".

If you are female and you like to drink a bit much, the police have a message for you. Wear nice pants and wax. In an effort to get a message out about responsible drinking, police want to warn you that you might show more than you intended. If you are not wearing nice underwear and sporting a fresh wax, the image might not be pretty.

"For those of you intent on getting ratted (drunk) this weekend, think," reads Safe! magazine. The article was accompanied by pictures of a scantily-clad woman collapsed on the floor flashing her underwear.

"If you fall over or pass out, remember your skirt or dress may ride up. You could show off more than you intended - for all our sakes, please make sure you're wearing nice pants and that you've recently had a wax.

The police insist that their point is tongue-in-cheek.
