American actor and philanthropist, Paul Newman, is partnering with Rebel Wine Company to make a new organic wine called Newman's Own.
Not content with just making vinaigrette and pasta sauce, Paul Newman is starting his own label of wine. Newman formed a partnership with the Rebel Wine Company to create an organic wine. The wine is called Newman’s Own – is it really “his own” if it is a partnership?

Rebel Wine Company also makes True Earth organic wine in Mendocino County, California. The company claims to use no pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers in growing their grapes. (Their website also uses very few words.)
The wines will sell for $16 USD. Profits from the wines will go towards education and charities. Newman’s company makes no gifts to charity. All of the profits that Paul Newman receives personally, including his dressing and sauce profits, go towards charities of his choice. Newman is releasing two wines – a 2006 Chardonnay and a 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines will be released next March.
