If you’re traveling to Beijing for the Olympic parties, the Chinese government has a few dos and don’ts for you – well, a list of don’ts really. As befitting a communist nation, the Chinese authorities have a list of “don’t-you-dares”. If you are looking for a party, don’t get drunk. We all know how tequila or sake (or whatever the party beverage is in China) and the heat can affect you, but the government asks you refrain from streaking. No, really. They specifically said “no streaking”. ![]() Chinese government: Don't drink too many of these! One of my favorite things to do is to light fireworks in third world countries after a few beers. My friends and I used to travel to Rocky Point, Mexico, (Puerto Penasco) and light fireworks on the beach. Again the Chinese government asks you do not light fireworks.
Another item which tops the “don’t-even-think-about-it” is no insulting banners. This is a bit vague. I’m sure signs which say “Remember the And above all, if you have mental illnesses or sexually transmitted diseases don’t even come. I’m not sure how they are checking this at the border, but you have been warned. We're not sure what the consequences are, but they do have forced labor camps. No spankings here. So have fun while in China, just not too much fun. Party with your clothes on! Remember...
What is the beer of choice in China? If you know, let me know in the comments!
