Petrus Oud Bruin is my first Flanders Brown (no, not Ned Flanders).  Flanders ales, from the Flemish region of Belgium, are typically sour or tart, fruity, and lightly hopped.

My daughter loves cats.  She came with me into the store while I was looking for new bottles of wine to try.  She saw the label with the leopards and thought the idea of herding cats was hilarious.  She let me know I was not getting out of the store without that bottle.

Now that we are in the coldest part of the winter, I’m looking for a good beer to keep me warm.  With a name like Winter Lager, I had to try it.  Samuel Adams Winter Lager is a dark wheat lager from the Boston Beer Company.
